I believe one of the most important question to ask ourselves is:
Why am I here on this Planet? What is my life purpose?
I truly believe we all have one or even more purposes to fulfill during our lives. For some it’s related to family and for many it is related to work or something else.
In my opinion our world is heading into a risky direction and our generation has a huge responsibility towards the future generations. I am not only speaking about preserving Earth in a good condition so we don’t have to look for new planets as in the sci-fi movies. I also mean that we have to pass on information and teach our children, friends, family and others to live in love and peace. To focus on the good things in life as we are all so lucky to be part of this world. This is not some BS hippy talk. My life has transformed completely since I live my days this way!
If we truly want to feel content we need to look into our own life purpose and take steps to follow it, no matter how scary they may seem. It’s key that we learn to listen to our hearts and take the first steps towards our goals. Obviously I’m not recommending you to jump out of your 9-5 job without any savings and start a business that you don’t have any knowledge or background of or step out of your comfort zone right away.
What I mean is that we should keep ourselves open, listen to what our heart is telling us and start to head into that direction, so one day we can fulfill our dreams and life purpose.
These 3 questions helped me to find my life purpose:
1) What do I enjoy doing the most in life? What makes me really happy?
When do you feel in flow? When you lose track of time because you enjoy doing something so much. If you had 2 more hours each day that you could only spend on an activity that makes you really happy, what would it be? How would you really spend your time?
2) What did I want to become as a child?
What did you enjoy doing when you were a child? What memoires do you have from your childhood that make you happy? For example I always felt really emphatic for people and had a deep desire to help them in any way I can. I didn’t know back then that I want to become a coach, but it was definitely a good message and starting point.
3) What would you do if someone gave you 1 million dollars and guaranteed you success and health in your life?
We tend to limit ourselves with fears, because we are afraid of change and risk. It’s hard to get out of your comfort zone. We want rational arguments and proof that things will go right. What would you do if all risk were taken away, success guaranteed? Would you start your own business or travel the world? Stay at home with your kids?
For me this was traveling the world and give myself time to relax. But this lead to finding what I really want to do in life, so I had to take this step in order to get to the next one.
