Many times people say if something bad happens in their life lots of other negative experiences are coming in a row. It is almost like a domino effect or an avalanche. It hits the ground unexpected, aggressively and starts to move tons of snow to wipe out almost everything that is in the way.
Meanwhile you feel like the whole world is against you. You lost your job, your partner left, your dog got sick and you feel like you don’t really have the energy to get up and get optimistic again. I know how you feel, as it happened to me before, so let me grab your hand and help You get back on the positive track!
With self-pity and with living in the negative vibration of the past You are actually manifesting a new thunder, which might be the starting point of a new avalanche.
Learn to let the past go, keep only the learning , which moves you forward and focus on living in a happy present!
It’s key to be mindful about this, because the power of mind (Click to read more!) is extremely powerful, which saves both the negative and positive feelings and memories just as a hardware and creates more of those which is the bulk of your thoughts.
The good news is, that when I was really down, I found a very successful way to let go of the past, which I will share with You!
Here’s what you should do to letting go of the Past:
With the help of the next three steps you can teach a simple message to your brain to delete those negative programs and restart a new, positive and wonderful mindset, in which you will feel the change immediately.
1) Jump into your problems!
I know, it sounds scary, but it’s effective, believe me!
You got to do something that gives you the ability to get really deep in your problems. For some people it is just sitting down, thinking about it and writing it out, for others it comes by going for a walk. In my case I have to jump in the middle of it. For example I have to pull up a picture of my ex, who left me in a very painful way, I start to cry and get the bad feelings and memories immediately.
I know this sound awkward, but you have to go and reach all these negative feeling in you, so You can finally let them go!
2) List your problems and fears out!
You have to write them down on a sheet of white paper. Very important that You fit all Your problems on one piece of paper.
For example I started the list this way: ‘I feel terrible and depressed, because my boyfriend left me in a very painful way. I can’t forgive him and I can’t start a new relationship. I cannot trust man anymore. OR. The day I lost my horse, was the worst day of my life. I don’t think it was fair, he was so young! I blame everyone around me, like the vet, who didn’t do his job. I can’t forgive him!’
I continued the list until there was no more space left. The best is if you make a list for each area of your life
3) Burn the list so you can finally let go!
Get a ceramic or glass bowl from your kitchen and some matches. Sit down somewhere and start to burn the paper in the bowl. You’ll be surprised how difficult it will catch fire. Sometimes it even stops and you have to light it on fire again. Think about all the things you listed as they are burning away, leaving your Mind, Your Body and Your Soul. I personally cried like a baby, as the feeling was so liberating. Don’t be embarrassed, you are doing an amazing thing for yourself. Just watch it burn and make sure there is nothing left. Make also the ashes disappear.
Say it out loud!:‘ I let go of all my negative feelings and memories from my past. I turn my attention to my present and future. My life is wonderful, it’s full of joy, love, happiness and health. I am so grateful, thank you! I will never look back again. I start a new wonderful life with joy, health, love, happiness.’
