Have you ever looked out your office window wondering about riding a horse, climbing the mountains, living in an exotic country by the beach or writing your best-seller book? Daydreaming is a wonderful tool of your mind to step out of reality for a bit and to relax for a couple of minutes.
Successful people don’t dream their life, they live their dreams! There is a huge difference, right? Instead of thinking about your dreams as something that is really far ahead in time and space, feel what it would be like to own them right now. Manifest them in your life starting today and not years from now or worse: never!
People who already did it, often say that if I could do it, you can as well! “Everyone can do it!”. You know, unfortunately that’s not true! Everyone could do it, but most people don’t, as they don’t have the will, courage, time or something else to fulfil their dreams.
It takes a change of mindset, attitude and actions to live your dreams and it’s hard work! And then you can do it! But once you are there the feeling is just indescribable, so give it a try!
Start to live your dreams by using these 3 simple steps in your daily routine:
1) Daydream 10 minutes each day!
It often happened that I forced myself to quit daydreaming, because I needed to focus on reality and I thought I was wasting my time on something that is way out of my limits. Trust me it’s the opposite way! It’s the base of moving them from your head into the existence of your real life.
Enjoy every second of your dreams! Make sure you are in the moment. You will need to grab that feeling and hold onto it so you can actually start to make the first baby steps towards it! These questions will help you get closer:
- What are your dreams in life?
- What would you like to achieve in your life?
- If anything was possible what would you manifest in your life?
- What did you do during daydreaming? How did You feel? What environment were You in? The colors, the smell, your looks….everything is important!
If you have it in your dream world you can have it in your real world!
2) Commit to your dreams!
There are several ways to do this:
- Writing your dreams down!
- Saying them out loud to yourself!
- Sticking it on the bathroom mirror so you can see it every day!
- Telling it to a friend!
- Sharing it with a group of friends!
- Even posting it on Facebook!
This is the first step to having them in your physical life as you announce it to the World, the Universe! You communicate that you really mean it and it’s something that you really want, not just a thing that you wonder about!
Therefore I encourage you to commit to your dreams, grab a piece of paper and start by writing them down!
3) Start to Live Your Dreams!
Make sure you make the first steps towards realizing them in your life. If your daydream was riding a horse… check out the closest horse farm from your office or your home and schedule it in. If it was about your book, go home after work, sit down and start to make a sketch of what your book would be about. Check out online how to write a book and jump into it!
You don’t know how to start?
- Search online (posts, articles, blogs, videos etc.)
- Join groups of interest on Social Media
- Attend Meet ups
- Surround yourself with people of the same interest
- Find a mentor
Whatever your dream is, just make one tiny first step towards it Today! I cannot emphasize enough that even a thousand mile journey begins with a single step! One tiny step…
