How to Get Out of Depression?

1)Cold Therapy

It is an amazing tool of healing your soul. Cold therapy is just getting popular in Hungary. It is not expensive and has a wonderful effect on your body, mind and soul. You start to walk into a room -60 C ( you stay for about 1 minute) after this you walk into a room -120 C (here you stay 4-5 minutes). Your body thinks you will freeze thats why it turns on safety functions. It is tested by different doctors that it helps people recover from depression.

2)Get a Pet

To love and be loved  unconditionally is a wonder. Being responsible for a living creature make new sense in your life. A dog, turtle, rabbit, cat, fish tank or whatever you feel for can bright up your life. I remember when I felt depressed the only thing getting me out of bed or from the house was my dog. She saved me in that period! A pet can help you to get out of depression.

3)Get Out of Bed,Take a Shower and Fill Yourself with Love.

Even if it’s very difficult, get in the shower, get dressed and keep moving. Staying at home under the covers, hiding from the world will push you deeper and deeper. Force to go out. Go to a coffee place or for a walk and open yourself for the world. Don’t worry if its only a short walk,  just keep going and make it for longer time periods each day.

4)Stop Neglecting the Thing you Love to Do

What made you happy before your depression? (art, sport, travel, theatre, etc.)Start to do it again. I know you are “not in the mood”. I had the same feeling. I love to play tennis and I have got to a point when I didn’t want to play anymore. I didn’t want to meet any people. Tell yourself that you will start to appreciate and enjoy everything you enjoyed in the past. Get motivated, get out there and force yourself for  getting better.

5)Start to Get Closer to Yourself

Start to Pray and find Your God. You can belong to a spiritual group or you can practice any religion what feels close to your heart. It can give you back faith and positive belief in yourself. I do meditate every morning and on some sundays I go to church to be in a different “holy” environment. Even a life coach or psychologist can get you closer to your inner peace.

6)Make a Cleansing Diet  and STOP drinking Alcohol, taking Drugs.

I realized that I have a glass of wine almost every night. It even got worse when I had migraines and I started to take painkillers more and more often with that glass of wine. These are the signs that something is seriously wrong and that you are heading to the wrong direction. You must respect you body, mind and soul. You have to STOP it immediately. Start a cleansing diet. Watch what you eat or drink, It can help you to get much better in the matter of days.

 

If You feel that You are so deep that none of these things can work, please ask for help. Many people suffer with different levels of depression. You can talk honestly and openly about it. You are amazing and you will get better very soon. We support you and are next to you.
