“No matter where You are from, Your dreams are valid!” Lupita Nyong’o
Being spiritual is a very popular expression used by lots of people nowadays and the entrepreneur lifestyle is getting more and more desired. That is how people would like to live, instead of being stuck in a 9 to 5 job all their lives. I always wanted to be my own boss and make my own way of living. It is quite difficult to give a definition what spiritual entrepreneurship means exactly. I think it is something different for all of us, but still somehow the same: For me, to feel content in my private and business life as well: good vibes, positive energy, success, love, health and happiness. This is what we all want and need. But you have to work hard on yourself to create the above mentioned wonderful things. The right mindset creates a happy life and a successful business.
Here’s my top tips if you’d like to run your business as a spiritual entrepreneur:
1) Find your passion in business!
First of all you need to find the right business for yourself! This is one of the most important things in being a spiritual entrepreneur, find the way you want to live and what you want to do. There are no limits what kind of idea will succeed. Do whatever makes you happy. If you have no idea what it is, ask yourself the same question every day: WHAT KIND OF JOB,WORK WOULD MAKE ME HAPPY? Be honest to yourself and you’ll get closer and closer to the answer.
2) Feel your business!
Your business is your baby! You need to feel it! Be a good mommy or daddy! Every single business has it’s ups and downs in the different life periods. You have to open your heart and feel it! Feel when it’s getting weak or sick, when it’s getting out of control, when it’s growing too fast, when it’s growing too slow, when it needs support or when it’s on the wrong path. After a few years of practice you will feel it before it happens and you can avoid the “roller coaster rides”.
3) Believe in your business and yourself!
Believe in your business, in yourself and in the people around you. Believing in our goals is always the first step to achieving them! The most successful entrepreneurs pray or meditate every day. I pray every night for my company and business. Try it! No matter what religion you are practicing!
4) You need to take a healthy amount of risks!
This will make you and your company stronger and more experienced. You have to gain enough self-confidence to make “risky decisions” sometimes. There are times when you need to jump and decide quickly even if it doesn’t seem rational. Listen to your gut feelings, it will tell you what to do!
5) Network with everyone and serve others!
Be proud of your business and tell it to everyone without filtering! Most of my big contracts came through people who I would have never imagined. Give them your card or contact them even if you think that they have nothing to do with your business profile! Be nice and listen to their story as well, help them out. This is a very positive and easy way of networking if you can find the golden middle way. Don’t be too much and also let people talk about their lives. Every single person you meet in your life is part of your life puzzle. Don’t miss the pieces!
6) Make sure you attract other, positive businesses!
If your business is based upon positive decisions and strategies you probably don’t want to cooperate with negative companies and people. I tried it a few times and every single one of them failed. Open up for people and businesses who have the same positive mentality as you do and you can work successfully together. Before you start a new cooperation or partnership close your eyes and try to feel the person or the company: if it gives you a negative feeling or weird fear don’t jump into it.
Don’t forget to Dream BIG! Go for it!
